Boy Scouts Fun

Shooting BB guns was at the top of the list as the most favorite activity of the weekend.

The blood and guts obstacle course was a lot of fun. I think Lucas did it 4 times. Each time he got a little faster.

Of course another favorite was the bow and arrow area.

This year they had an area where the kids learned to tie knots. The first knot they learned was the square knot. You need to be careful 'cause if you tie it the wrong way it goes from a square knot to a granny knot! They had a contest after they taught the kids how to tie the square knot. They were looking for the fastest correct knot and Lucas won.

Harvest Time

This year we planted 9 apple trees and 1 cherry. We are happy to say that we were able to harvest/pick 2 apples from our Haraldson tree this year. Hopefully we will have a much bigger crop next year...but until then happy eating!

Much determination!

Jack was too quick to pick so sorry no good picture of him showing us how to twist to remove from tree.

Labor Day 2010

A lake post with no swimming pictures or pictures of boys playing on the beach. It was a cold Labor Day weekend and the cousins were not there to play with. Much time was spent biking and fishing and staying warm.

It's the BIG one. Way to go grandpa. It is bigger than the bait!

The boys spent a morning at the farm helping grandpa wash his potatoes before he takes them to the market.
