Last Day of School Waterballoon fight

We had our annual last day of school water balloon fight up at the tot lot in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, this year was a bit on the cold side and a lot of the kids are getting too big for the fight. The brave few that were there had a blast throwing over 500 balloons. On to summer.....

Field Trip to the Capitol

I got to go with Lucas' class on one of their last field trips of the year. We went to the capitol. The kids had a blast. One of the highlights was walking up ALL the stairs to get outside near the golden horses. The morning finished with a picnic lunch on the capitol grounds.

the zoo

Jack loves the zoo and he loves Dr Suess. We had a great time combining the two at the Minnesota zoo last week with friends.

What do you do during an oil change?

Cold and rainy Memorial Weekend

Another cold, rainy, memorial weekend. Luckily we were able to find a few dry times to take bike rides and play in the sand. Fishing was good and grandpa was busy taking the boys out in the pontoon and down to the bridge to fish. I think they caught the fishing bug.

No lake post is complete without a picture of the boys playing in the sand and water no matter what the temperature.

2 very happy boys after a very successful night.

Of course another way to pass the time when it rains is to have lots of food on hand and a DS to play.
