A post for Grandma DeAnn from our Brainerd Weekend! Much fun was had by all and many activities were partaken in.

Lucas enjoyed his first experience on cross country skis. Jack tried hard to help mom on hers.

It was cold but we had a great time on a horse driven buggy ride.
Jack hanging out with one of the dog sled team dogs named Jack.
A very short but fun dog sled ride.

Fun time at the pool.

We played games in the town home.
Celebrated Staci's birthday.
Read books with grandpa.
Hung out.
Went tubing.

A day off school

The boys and I hung out at the MOA on Friday. We all had a blast riding rides. A big THANKS to Karla, Zach and Tommy for the all day pass. We definitely got use out of it.

We also got a chance to see our first 3D movie. at Lego Land.

Indoor activities

What do you do when it has been below zero for almost a week and you have run out of indoor activities? Jack would say it is time to make a pinata.

Lucas joins in the fun and makes his own too.

Mom and dad learned the hard way that if you have a baseball player and suckers in the pinata it equals disaster for the doors. Oops.

The Torch takes 2nd!

Lucas' 2nd pinewood derby took place today. His car, the torch, took 2nd place in his den. The pack race was the same time as his basketball game. He chose to go to basketball instead of race again. He will be able to race at District's later in March.

The competition.

The boys waiting for the first race.

Lucas' car is in lane 3 for his first race.

As you can see the car's were racing at lightning speed. Lucas, in lane 3, finished first.

Lucas receiving his pin and trophy for coming in 2nd overall.

One happy boy.

The gang with their trophies.

Snow fun during Christmas break

Big brother Lucas teaching Jack how to snowboard.

Who needs a sled when you have cardboard?

Swinging on ropes.

And jumping out of trees.
