Invention Convention

Lucas' invention.
After interview 3 people Lucas decided to make my life easier by inventing something to help me clean the floors - a task I don't like.  He turned his skateboard into a floor cleaner.  The broom picks up all the dust and then the swiffer wet mops the floors.  All this can be done while having fun skate boarding in the house.

Jack turns the magical 7.

The happy birthday boy before his friends arrive for his magic birthday party.
My little creative man helped decorate his cake this year.  One day I may be able to retire.
He also decorated for his party by making his own Happy Birthday banner that is strung up in the window and crepe paper streamers all over the house and outside the house.

Halloween 2012

The boys start their pumpkin creations on paper.

I will never understand how boys that can pick up snakes and frogs and play in the mud get grossed out cleaning out the inside of a pumpkin.

The creation is transfered to the pumpkin and the carving begins.
 Finished products.

the BIG trip!

It finally arrived.  After planning for 1 year we surprised the boys with a trip to Disney.  They had no clue we were even leaving on vacation until the weekend before we left.  If it wasn't for extra math homework we would have made it until the morning we left.  The boys found out at the airport where we were headed.
This was the first time they had flown so the memories began before we even left Minneapolis.
We made sure to fit in absolutely everything we could in during the 7 days we were there.  The first day we were at Magic Kingdom before it opened until it closed.  We saw fireworks at 3 different parks.  Our favorite being at Magic Kingdom.
Every day we rode the bus to and from the parks.  Here we are happily awaiting our bus.
We rode almost every ride in every park.  There were very few the boys did not like!  Some they liked so much we were on them numerous time.

And of course....many lines to stand in.
And of course....lots of photo opportunities.

We also managed to find a little bit of time to play at the pool.
One of the highlights was the Jedi training that the boys got to take and then they got to fight Darth Vader in front of a little mini crowd cheering them on.
Another highlight was Jack.  He decided to pull 2 teeth when we were there.  The 1st night the tooth fairy came.  The 2nd night the tooth fairy was busy so Tinker Bell filled in.

The boys got an opportunity to see many characters.  This is my favorite picture as Tigger has always been my favorite Disney character.
Memories I hope they always treasure.
