Winter has come!

Lucas came running into our bedroom this morning and stated "Winter has come!" He and Jack were so excited to see the snow. Just wanted to post a couple pictures as I am sure my Warm Weather relatives that I just saw will be very jealous :-)

Halloween

Mom made it home from Arizona just in time to help carve pumpkins for Halloween.
Mom's daring boys who will pick up anything yucky and slimy outside won't touch the slimy yucky stuff inside the pumpkin. Go figure.
The finished product.

October days

Lucas, Jack, and our neighbor Piper spent a morning at the Victoria Fire Department. It was hard to tell which was more fun....the jumper or the ride in the fire truck.

I think Lucas found a new "have to have" this evening. Our neighbor brought over her motorized scooter. I am sure it will go on the top of our Christmas list!

Not to be left behind, Jack was right there wanting to ride the scooter too!

Jack's first day of 'school'

Jack has been talking about going to kindergarten ever since we started talking about Lucas going to school. Well, Jack has his own school. He is going to Excelsior Covenant Preschool one day a week to their tot program. He was VERY excited to go school all the way up until we got into the car. All the way to school he told me that he did not want to go to school. When we got to school he put on his brave face and went in without any tears. Since I am late posting this I can tell you that week 2 he ran into the room and did not even wait for me to say goodbye. Guess he was ready for school.

First Day of School

Well, Lucas and mom survived the first day of school. We both were a little nervous the night before the big day but Lucas was gung ho come bus time. He was a trooper and loved every minute of it.

Very important to get a picture of little brother the first day of school too! Your day will be coming Jack.

Lucas with Mrs. Potter his teacher.

When I picked Lucas up from school I asked him what his favorite part of school was and he demonstrated what it was. See below :-) He said the key part was where the hand held the elbow. What a fun year this should be.
